David Stewart signs petition in support of Diabetes UK

Highlands and Islands Labour MSP David Stewart has signed the Children’s Charter petition to ask the UK Government / Northern Ireland Executive / Scottish Government / Welsh Assembly Government to facilitate the implementation of the Diabetes UK Children’s Charter to ensure that young people with diabetes receive better care and support in the future.

Mr Stewart has previously called on the Government to introduce "world class" diabetes services in Scotland as soon as possible.
 

He said: "I have signed the Charter because I believe it is vitally important that young people with Diabetes get more help, particularly as the number of Scots suffering from Diabetes has risen significantly over the last few years."
