Reacting to the news that Inveraray is set for a building boom after Argyll and Bute Council approved planning for 180 new houses, including 45 affordable homes, Highlands and Islands Regional MSP, David Stewart welcomed the fact that the local authority was planning for growth in and around Inveraray.
David said :
“I understand that this growth plan includes the building of business units and a hotel which all bodes well for the area in terms of the economic impact.
"I would hope that there will also be additional jobs created in the building work and then once the business units have been set up.
"The inclusion of a hotel in the plans is also a positive move which will attract more tourists to the area.
“All in all this news should be welcomed as a positive proactive approach to the sustainability of this part of Argyll by the local council.
